Overview

Noir Stories wanted a striking brand identity that reflected the timeless and dramatic nature of their work. The studio specializes in high-contrast black-and-white photography, and the challenge was to create a visual language that complemented their artistic vision. I developed a minimalist logo, designed stationery and print materials, and oversaw the art direction for promotional campaigns. The result was a bold and timeless identity that resonates with their upscale clientele while emphasizing their unique artistic style.

Challenges

Noir Stories needed a brand identity that could reflect their artistic and dramatic black-and-white portraiture. The challenge was to create a logo and visual language that felt bold and timeless while standing out in the competitive photography market. Additionally, the branding had to appeal to a wide demographic, from individual clients to high-profile corporate collaborations.

Concept

The concept drew heavily from classic cinema and the interplay of light and shadow in portrait photography. The logo was designed with geometric precision, evoking the sharpness of a camera lens. A monochromatic color palette was used throughout to emphasize the studio’s focus on black-and-white photography. Typography was kept elegant and minimalist, complementing the dramatic imagery while allowing flexibility for different applications, from business cards to digital platforms.
